Most of the time, I choose subjects paint because they’re fun or complicated or compelling. But then there are moments when I want the viewer to simply love the person I’m painting.
The heart twists inside out thinking of a young vibrant soul being destroyed by a school shooting. If I can do one thing, it will be to make the loss hurt even more.
