I’ve been up in arms about the removal of historic images. I imagine monuments will be next. As I was typing this out, I started thinking about all of the Confederate Statues that have been removed or relocated. I wonder if they will be unapologetically hauled back into public view?
I hate the idea that only one political party owns patriotism. Being patriotic has nothing to do with who you voted for, it only matters that you vote. It doesn’t matter what you want to protest, you have the right to do so.
Deleting and editing history minimizes it. Simplifying it, sanitizing it.
